2005-01-09 Best to keep things in the shallow end
PS: New Year.
I came to Iowa City for New Year's and got stuck because of all the snow. Fine enough. Classes start the 18th, I had my allergist appointment and tomorrow have another doctor's appointment. Whee.
I now have an EpiPen, thank christ. I've been in dire need of one for awhile, it's good to finally get one.
Had an allergic reaction to something I ate at a restaurant the other day -- it shouldn't have happened, either, since nothing I ordered had nuts in it. I'm going to talk to them tomorrow. And if they're assholes to me, I am going to call a health inspector and the FDA. Because that's what you do. It could have been as simple as they didn't wash a cutting board, but that's dangerous for alot of other reasons, too.
Fuckers.
Anyway, I didn't go to the emergency room, even though I should have (as I found out later, at the allergist). If I had, I would've demanded that they pay the medical bill. As it is, I'm just going to make them feel very, very bad about almost killing me.
Yay.
Also, going into anaphylactic shock won't wake you up. Just so you know.
Life's been okay, hasn't been too fascinating. Been doing alot of nothing. Just came down with a cold. Whee.
