2004-09-12 Spectacle = parade, only less glassy-eyed
Alright.
I'm doing alot better than I was, but I'm still achey and my ankle/lower leg still bothers me. Saw the doctor on Friday (sat around for over 2 hours, only saw doctors and nurses for maybe a half-hour of all that), who told me that these sorts of things usually take 4-6 weeks to totally heal up, but if I'm not feeling better in 2-3 weeks, stop back in.
...
So I wasted my time, their time, and probably the time someone else who waited longer than me just because they couldn't say WAIT A COUPLE MORE WEEKS when I called and made an appointment. Fuckfaces.
Life hasn't been super-thrilling. Classes, work. I got a second job as Master of Bakeology over in the Burge cafeteria. All I've really done is filled pies. Not thrilling.
Went to a weird party the other night where I managed to accidently invite 18 other people. I told 2 of them to come, and 16 others came with. Whoops. The party then turned into a game of spin-the-bottle. It was weird. I'm sure everyone there is going to get mono or some weird shit.
This weekend was just a series of weird house parties, one of which had well over 100 people at it (15 kegs), got busted shortly after we left. We stood about a half-block away and watched the mass exodus.
Went to some parties with some friends of mine last night. It was the ISU/UI game yesterday, it was pretty fucking nuts around here. But I love a spectacle, so. We eventually got separated from everyone and it just became me, Rachel (lives down the street from me) and a kid named Mike. Went to a party at one of my friends' house, Rachel and Mike started necking and left shortly thereafter, I made some new friends because my other buddies at the party all left or passed out or something. Then one kid started setting off firecrackers and bottle rockets. Two of them hit people's windows. I left shortly after that.
I went frisbee golfing today. Yeah.
I'm tired.
